What’s in the listing

This free listing contains 40,081 institution-year and institution-sport-year records from the Department of Education's Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) survey, verified September 27, 2026. The count is not a count of unique institutions or athletes. The survey covers qualifying postsecondary institutions with intercollegiate athletics programs, not every US college.

Both tables are static snapshots created September 27, 2026. Collection timestamps show when Civly stored or updated a record. They do not establish when an institution filed its survey. Earlier survey years, school-to-conference links, and booster or NIL funder records are not part of this listing.

Joining the tables

Join on UNITID and SURVEY_YEAR. A school can have multiple sport rows in a survey year. Use the institution table for school-level totals and the sport table for sport-level comparisons.

Sourcing and attribution

The source is the Department of Education EADA data download. The department explains which institutions report under EADA. Revenue, expense, participation, athletic aid and coaching figures are institution-reported. Amounts are in US dollars and are not independently audited by Civly.
