Form the request should take
The PROG Foundation has established a process to recruit and orient giving committee members. For each applicant, we check whether committee members have any conflict of interests. If they do, they do not participate in the vote on awards. We have a scoring rubric to evaluate grant applicants and make recommendations, a reoccurring time to convene monthly, and policies requiring additional requirements for grants above certain thresholds. The rubric asks for details about amount and type of support requested, how the support will level the economic playing field, how the grant will fill needs that would not be met otherwise, whether there will be an opportunity for PROG-related individuals to volunteer in connection with the activity, etc. All requests are made via www.PROGFoundation.org or through an internal process that goes to the giving committee for consideration. Once funding is awarded a 501c3 letter is sent and form W9 and funds transmission information are requested.

Every figure on this page is that foundation's own latest filed year, which is 2022 or later. This foundation is listed because its Form 990-PF says it does not restrict giving to preselected organizations and it paid at least 5 grants totaling $100K or more that year. Latest-year grants and terms per foundation from IRS 990-PF e-file returns; the newest tax year is partial until the IRS finishes releasing it. Grants are de-duplicated on funder, year, recipient and amount, so identical repeat grants collapse into one and totals can run low. Full method.
